St Catherine of Siena Statue

Commissioned by St Catherine’s Primary school Berwick South now displayed as the focal point in their Tim Shinner memorial garden at the school in Clyde Rd. Carved from Huon Pine it is 1.4 metres in height and protectively coated against weathering. This timber is the remainder of a long piece of Huon Pine - the first half was used in 1997 for the carving of St Francis Xavier for the Beaconsfield campus of the College.

This is an appropriate link as St Catherine’s is a feeder school for St Francis Xavier and the Berwick campus is now adjacent to the school.
