Our Lady of Mt Carmel

OLMC Primary School wanted a smaller statue which could be moved around the school for various ceremonies so a mini version of the large statue carved in 2007 was produced. The Principal requested that its base simulate the cloud on which tradition says Mary appeared at Mt Carmel. Both the figure and base are of Huon Pine but the base is treated with”Whiting” to give the cloud like appearance.
